Welcome to Bombay Mahal. We opened our doors five years before Bombay, one of the largest cities in the world nestled on the Arabian Sea, changed its official name back to Mumbai after the British occupation of India.

 

After spending more than half a century in the Indian restaurant industry, starting in Germany & the U.K., to immigrating to Maine and launching three of the states first Indian restaurants, our family is excited to welcome you to a taste of back home.

 

Our menu is a story of passed down family recipes from Punjab, India, paired with regional Indian classics & some local twists from right here in Maine.
